I have purchased my first account at iPage in December 2009, while running from another hosting provider that has been suspended my account for more than a week for no reason.
In January 2010, moved most of my website to iPage, this was a long and hard process, but the guys from the tech support helped me a lot. I had some issues adding new MySQL databases at that time, and they just added a couple for me.
I have been hosting 3 WordPress , one Joomla and one Drupal site on this account. The sites built with WordPress and Joomla were running quite well, but the Drupal site was very slow. Contacted the support couple of times, but they were not able to help me with this issue. They admitted that other customers also complained about Drupal websites hosted on their server. Don’t really know what the problem was, because I’m not into servers and configuration, but I had to move my Drupal site elsewhere. Didn’t try to run any Drupal based site on my iPage account since then, probably they fixed this issue.
Before I signed up for my account, I have read couple or complaints about website speed and database connection, but I thought I will give it a try, anyway they have a Money-Back guarantee option, so I will lose nothing. Fortunately I never had to dig into their money-back policy. Recently they were running a very good weekend sale and I got a new account for a bargain price of $1.00/month; extremely good deal!
Overall I can’t say anything negative about iPage, because I never really had any issue that wasn’t fixed right away, except this Drupal stuff; but I’m cool with that.
In my opinion, iPage is a very good hosting provider and they try their best to keep the quality of their service at a high level. They may have some minor temporary issues, but they care about their clients, and this is the most important for me.Check out more reviews on iPage...
